Our latest rescue is Sterling, an eight year old thoroughbred racehorse. Sterling is enjoying his new temporary home at the the barn of Debbie, Harry and Sara Triola. Sara was a friend and classmate of Kaeli’s (and she is helping Kaeli’s foundation many ways!)
We are hoping to bring Sterling to the Hampton Classic adoption event where he can find a forever family to call his own. Sterling is lucky; his trainer and owner acted responsibly and found their horse a good situation. Many racehorses are not as fortunate. They face a gruesome fate at the slaughterhouse.
