Snappy and Scout are two senior citizen horses from the Bronx. They both worked throughout their entire lives. Through the generosity and thoughtfulness of the workers and riders at Riverdale Equestrian Centre these two old friends will enjoy a peaceful retirements. Heartfelt thanks to Carly, Courtney, Marie, Susan and everyone who contributed to pay for Snappy’s extensive veterinary care and to help defray the costs of the horses’ retirements. The horses arrived at our new upstate sanctuary and were immediately welcomed by Strawberry, Murphy, and five resident goats (who came with the land).
It has been a long, hard winter rehabilitating the barn and property and making it ready to accommodate our horses. Kaeli’s Uncle Jim worked tirelessly repairing the barn. It was a labor of love and generosity. We look forward to welcoming all of our horses to the new sanctuary in the spring.
