The Kaeli Kramer Foundation was invited to participate in a panel discussion about horse slaughter and the grass roots efforts of humane education groups to address this crucial issue. The event, held at the Hampton Classic, and organized by the ASPCA’s Valerie Angeli and by Today Show host Jill Rappaport was well attended and informative. A featured panelist was world class rider and ASPCA Equine Ambassador Georgina Bloomberg. Linda spoke about the work of Kaeli’s Foundation and described our efforts to educate and inform the public and horse owners alike about the responsibilities of horse ownership, which includes life care for these animals. She discussed the need for responsibility in the horse racing, breeding and carriage horse industries as well. The Hampton Classic, which highlights the beauty and talent of the equine world was a fitting host for this event.
