The Kaeli Kramer Foundation was well represented at Sunday’s rally at the Holtsville Ecology Center. Along with hundreds of other people who were showing support for the continued operation of the Ecology Site, many of our friends attended the rally. Peter Kramer spoke on behalf of the Foundation, referring to the Ecology Site as a “unique place on Long Island which provides a very different and important educational, interpretive and recreational experience.” Several other speakers spoke passionately , including April Perry, Director of the Holtsville Ecology Site, Kellei Burke, Director of Animal Care and Highway Superintendent John Rouse. The rally was a resounding success, with everyone invited to attend the forthcoming Town Board meetings as a continued show of support for the Site, and opposition to its closing.
