After a week of rain, Saturday brought warm rays of sunshine and a clear blue sky. Friends, accompanied by their companion animals, arrived at the Kaeli Kramer Sanctuary from near and far to celebrate the Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Heartfelt gratitude to Interfaith minister Jeanne Anselmo who blessed the creatures great and small: a newborn motherless kitten, Ferdinand the steer, all of the Sanctuary horses and dogs of every kind! All the animals listened attentively to our prayers:
May we develop understanding in order to live peacefully with people, animals, plants and minerals.
May we develop our compassion in order to protect the lives of people, animal, plants and minerals.
May all beings be safe, happy and free.
