Sage was adopted by the Kaeli Kramer Foundation after her rescue from a North Dakota Premarin farm. She was given to us by a friend of the foundation Annemarie, who drove across the country to bring her to us.
Last week, she moved to her new home with Diane where she will learn basic skills that we take for granted in our riding horses. Since Sage was kept in a herd or confined to a straight stall constantly pregnant for collection of her “pregnant mare urine” she never even learned to pick up her feet or the rudiments of human interactions.
Diane is incredibly kind and patient and will be working with Sage using natural horsemanship techniques. They have already bonded and we hope that this training will improve Sage’s life!
Thanks to everyone, especially Peter and Carol who shared their home with her for the past two years.
