Today’s weather was a perfect 10 . It was a wonderful day to meet our newest edition to the Kaeli Kramer Equine Care Program. Retired Park Police horse, Major, eagerly met the students and stood patiently while each one greeted him in the ring. Everyone took turns brushing his coat, cleaning his hooves and braiding his mane. Major, now 22 years old, was such a gentleman ….. and he looked so handsome after all that pampering. While some were grooming Major, other students rode Sherman. It was such a great day to enjoy the outdoors.. After our riding and grooming we made a delicious spinach salad and enjoyed freshly made strawberry shortcake under the shade of a big tree. Major, Sherman and the other horses were treated to fresh carrots and apples from a local farm.
