A human life is a story told by God. Kaeli Sara Kramer’s life is filled with love, compassion, grace, strength, and accomplishment. Her life tells a story of a leader with a divine heart and untold possibilities. Touching the lives of virtually everyone who she met with her gorgeous personality and positive energy, Kaeli created many many loving memories for us all. A memory no one can steal and it is those loving memories which will soothe and heal this grieving heart. Not a day will pass without a gentle reminder of God’s gifted Kaeli Sara Kramer.
This very special girl will be miss tremendously by all who have had the pleasure of her friendship, beauty (inside and out) her infectious smile and her genuine warmth. Every once in a while you come across someone who truly shines. I for one will not be surprised when the Sun, Stars and the Moon shine brighter. I’m honored to have known you. With a very heavy heart I will always remember you.
I asked Mae to write a song for Kaeli. Both Kaeli and myself shared a great love for Mae. http://whatismae.ning.com/forum/topics/dear-mae
Please comment on the post so they consider writing a song for her. I know that Kaeli would have loved it!
Kaeli,
Today I thought of the last time we walked the cross country course at Good Shepard. I remember being amazed that you jumped over these huge solid fences and I told you I’d be too afraid to try, you smiled as you always did and said one day DC and I would be able to do them too. You were always so optimistic and positive. I laughed because my goal for the day was just to keep DC in the dressage ring. That day however, probably because of your faith and positivity DC stayed in the dressage ring and had a lovely training level one test. I will think of you always especially as I go towards a fence I’m afraid to jump and as I try to remember my courses. I will try to earn the faith you had in me and I will never stop trying to live the message you gave us. I love you so much girlie and miss you so badly.
Not only did I lose a bestfriend but I also lost a sister. The memorial was so beautiful and made me realize more so what a truly awesome person you were.I learned a lot from you and am working hard to be a better person and even though i will never be as great as you I’m going to try my best. It will be weird not getting new nicknames every hour from you and your dad “little chicken”. Gosh I miss my dumb crazy nervous silly smart cowish bestfriend but i know when i look up i can smile at you. “love burns brighter than sunshine and so does our friendship”
i remeber the first time i met you at a friends house and i was a little shy since i didnt know you and you just started talking to me with a huge smile on your face even though there was kind of a big age difference. Then a few years later you moved to rice farms and we talked basically everyday then i would always used to go down to the barn you were in and you always had that big huge smile on your face that i miss tons. When i was upset you made me so happy every time i talked to you. I miss you kaeli and you will never be forgotten
Kaeli,
I came away from the memorial realizing how humble you were. All who spoke, added something that I never knew about you. You touched the lives of everyone who knew you, and maybe even a few strangers with your radiant smile.
But guess what ???? I remember a time when you were actually annoyed with your mom. It was when the drill team was in the indoor. You just got Sundance and he was not cooperating. It made you a little nervous. Well, your mom wouldn’t let you go for pizza. You had to ride Sundance in the outdoor. I
saw you roll your eyes at your mom lol. All went well and you were once again you were confident and smiling again. I feel confident that Amanda is going to Centenary. A school that you chose has to be among the best. I will miss you forever. Jane (Amands and Kate’s grandma)
Kaeli’s loss is felt by everyone who knew her, however briefly. I remember many late nights at Rice Farms when Kaeli and Linda or Peter and I would be the only ones there. Her smile was infectious and her cheerful personality was like a blaze of light. She was truly an extraordinary young woman, and is deeply missed.
With love and sadness for Kaeli’s family and friends,
Thank you for your compassion, humaneness, gentleness, intellect, dignity, helpfulness, thoughtfulness, understanding, unselfishness, grace, heart, charity and respectfulness.
I am here to honor Kaelie and celebrate her life with you. The outpouring from you, her friends and family, have made us in mae feel humbled and grateful to be a part of her story. Thank you for including us, our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
In the short time I was at Knox you became an amzing friend. In the 3 months I was there you inspired me so much! Your love for animals and your kindness was unconditional you truely were an angel amongest us you were all ways smiling. I will never forget when you said I was the only Bedstone student you had got really good friends with, you most likely didn’t realise it but that made my day!!! I feel hournered to have known and to be friends with you.
Slow Food Huntington and Starflower Experiences is happy to announce that we will be sponsoring an “Eat In”, as part of Slow Food USA’s Day of Action, called “Time for Lunch”, a national campaign to get real food into schools . It will take place at Manor Farm, on 210 Manor Road in Huntington, and will run from Noon- 4pm on Labor Day, September 7th.
The Time for Lunch Campaign is our opportunity to bring attention to the re-authorization of the Child Nutrition Act. This fall, Congress will decide whether to update the Child Nutrition Act, the piece of legislation that determines what 30 million kids eat every day in school. By promoting healthier foods in schools, we can start good eating habits early and bring down health care costs in the long run.
So let’s all come together and create a huge picnic! Let’s eat delicious food at Manor Farm. It’s that simple. This will be just one of hundreds of “Eat-In’s” across the country to help raise awareness for this issue. We will have some petitions to sign, great music, some speakers and a volleyball net…but the only thing you are asked is to bring is something home-made with quality ingredients to share with your friends and family. There is fresh water available for drinking on the farm, so we want to keep this a plastic bottle-free event.
Other assorted notes:
Share this info with friends! This is a national campaign and the more events, the bigger the impact…so, if you’d like to host your own picnic closer to home, please let us know and we’ll get you more info.
We realize many of you will be away for the long weekend. Even if you can’t join the picnic, please share this invite with your friends who will be on Long Island and like good food and a chance to lounge outdoors.
I didn’t mean to post the above message without a personal note. Somehow I sent it without meaning to!
I wanted to let all of you know about the Slow Food “Eat-In”, because I know it is something that Kaeli would want to support. It is a community picnic, to promote healthy food in schools.
As Kaeli’s chef from the Waldorf School, I know how much she appreciated good food and would want to be an advocate for this issue.
Anyway, we would appreciate the support!
God wants to USE YOU to make a difference in the world. He wants to work through you. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it. Not how long you lived, but how you lived… “The Lord will work out His plans for my life…for Your loving kindness Lord continues forever…”Psalm 138:8
I think about you and miss you more and more every single day. I found pictures of us from back when we were like 12 years old at the Hampton classic and its so hard to believe that you’re not here with us anymore. I know you are watching over us in heaven. You will always be in my heart.
Kaeli,
I spoke to your Dad yesterday. We agreed that you would be visiting Dad and Mom soon as a butterfly or a bird. It is fitting that one so beautiful and sweet as you should come back to all of us in a manner so gentle. Our little valley around Sweet Hollow Road will never be the same. Please visit soon.
I believe in butterflies.
Love,
Steve

Hey Kalie!
Everyday since I left knox I’ve always thought about how you were , how school was , all the typical things friends check up on each other. I’m sorry I didn’t called as often as I wished I did. I remember when we first talked about where we came from and how we were both adopted and how everyone looks at you differently because you dont look like your parents. Just because I may have the same skin color, it doesnt mean that people don’t look at me differently too. That was when we first became friends we shared stories about horses, family and friends. I remember when you came to my house when my horse got sick. You were always looking on the brighter side of everything. You told me everythig would be fine and I always knew it would be . I am sorry it took me so long to write something on you wall. I didnt know if I could do it or not. I miss you everyday and think about you at least twice a day . My thoughts and prayers are with your family as with you. You will always be my light in my darkness and you may be gone but you will always be in my heart .
How can I thank you for looking out for Jessie that early morning several weeks ago.
It took some time for us to realize it was you, but when we did, it was a big “DUH” moment of how did we not know sooner the message you were sending.
Thank you my dear for looking out.
We know now that you are more than just in our hearts but in our lives forever.
We miss you terribly.
I am blessed to know Kaeli now, through her mother, Linda, who I met last weekend. Now my world shines a little brighter, having seen Kaeli’s beautiful, smiling face.
Kaeli – I think of you always, especially when walking past your picture in Dann at Knox. I’m convinced you come to my apartment often to play with Bogart and I know he loves it. While I miss you more than words can express I try very much to live each day as you would.
I often want to write your parents and talk to them but I’m still not sure how to do that.
On behalf of the class of 2009 from Knox there will be trees planted in your honor adorned with a plaque which will attempt to describe in words what a wonderful person you were – but we all know unless we had the honor to meet you, words cannot describe the way you touched many of our hearts.
I hope you are well. I hope your family is adjusting, although I’m not sure they will ever be able to just like many of us.
My love always to the Kramer family and all of us who were touched by Kaeli’s beauty.
Hope these scriptures bring you some measure of comfort:
John 5:25,28,29 – Most truly I say to YOU, The hour is coming and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who have given heed will live. Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.
Revelation 21:4 – And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
Hey Kaeli,
I can not believe it’s been a year today. We miss you so much. Whenever the wind blows, the birds sing and the horses run, your energy and beauty is present for all of us to feel. You will always be in our hearts and souls. Much love, Diana, Eric, Alayna and Eric James
it seems like yesterday,it seems like eons.we still can’t belive it.we will try to carry on your work & honor your beautiful spirit !always in love and peace, sue & kent
A year gone by.
Seems like time has wings to fly.
Time……. all around us and far away.
An Angel in disguise?
It must be YOU!
Fly away so far and away,
to heal the wounds and aches,
but still here,
surrounding us,
with your loving memory.
smile with the sun,
cry with the night,
sing with the birds,
sigh , when there are no words.
touched by the wind,
An Angel is here,
to help us through,
I know it’s you!
Dear Kaeli and family,

we were but stones, your light made us stars
and wherever you’ve gone

missing you all the time and seeing you in all the animals we care for.

I brought my baby daughter to the Holtsville zoo for the first time this weekend. It was a surprise to see a new section at the end, in memory of someone I didn’t know – Kaeli Kramer. The name stayed with me, and I found your site today. And then it struck me how sad and strange and wonderful life can be – my own daughter Caileigh Christie was born on February 10, 2010 – she was early…her due date was February 26, 9 months to the day after Kaeli Kramer passed on. I only hope that my daughter will aspire to be the amazing person Kaeli seemed to be.
I didn’t know Kaeli, just read about her in Newsday. She touched my heart, as she has, and will continue to do so, for years to come. She left a huge hole in the fabric of our lives, which we are obligated to fill with things she loved.
It has been exactly 20 months since you left us. We are tirelessly trying to do your work. We are guided by you, and are caring for more old horses than I ever imagined possible. We’re doing our best!!
You are the most loved, missed and respected child in the world. You could not have been a better daughter. Thank you for choosing us to be your parents.
Kaeli was a wonderful kid who grew into a lovely young lady. I watched her ride horses since she very young. Surely she looks down on her organization and guides it along in its growth. She is likely smiling right now in Heaven. Go Kaeli!!!

The students of class 402 ps131 abigail adams send their love and kindness. We miss Kaeli and all love her.We look forward to Linda visiting our school. We have learned so much about animals and especially horses including King and Roger.GOD BLESS THE KAELI KRAMER FOUNDATION!
I struggle for the words to describe the past two years. We saw you leave the house that morning and a few hours later, you were gone. It seems like yesterday and it also seems like forever. We were so fortunate to have you for as long as we did, but that does not offset any of the pain of losing your presence. Our hearts are just broken, and there are so many others who are sharing the same heartbreak.
We honor you with the work of this Foundation. We have done so much and we have done it quickly. Our “herd” is growing and is living happily — we have horses who can’t walk and others who can’t see, and they will all live out their lives in peace.
Sundance still eats everything in sight, and Gia is as elegant as ever. I see you when I see them, and then I miss you even more.
Hi Kaeli
Although we have never met, I often feel like I know you, and because of you I have met your parents who work so diligently to do the work you started. I am honored to be part of your mission.
Thanks for shining your light on us and please continue to light our way.
I never met you…but know that in every wild horse that remains wild….your angelic light is entangled in their manes…you were and still are a great warrior for them…..your light shines on….in every wild one’s eyes….thank you for all the caring you had…and that enabled your legacy to be a continuing part of their survival……from Sage, my wild horse (Cloud’s niece) and me, her lucky sidekick
it’s that time of year agine. the horses are blowing thier coats. squirrels & birds are going wild with spring fever. i feel you all around me . from a tb with a new lease on life, to an old man who gets to rest & sun himself in the paddock. happy birthday sweetie. keep guiding us , we’ll keep working !

After reading about Kaeli’s life and her love for animals, I am deeply affected by this young, but powerfully- spirited girl.
It is so clear from the words written by people who loved Kaeli that she made an impact on everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
I offer my deepest condolences to all her family and friends.

My love always to the Kramer family and all of us who were touched by Kaeli’s beauty.

“Life is not measured by the amounts of breath we take but by the moments that take our breath away.”
The life you lived and the lives you touched has inspired us all to strive to be better. With deepest gratitude.

A year gone by.
Seems like time has wings to fly.
Time……. all around us and far away.
An Angel in disguise?
It must be YOU!
Fly away so far and away,
to heal the wounds and aches,
but still here,
surrounding us,
with your loving memory.
smile with the sun,
cry with the night,
sing with the birds,
sigh , when there are no words.
touched by the wind,
An Angel is here,
to help us through,
I know it’s you!

think Kaeli’s foundation is a wonderful
way of continuing her dream .” if love
could have saved her she would haved
lived forever”

this is a pretty song & i like to think about you when I hear it…
“your light’s reflected now, reflected from afar
we were but stones, your light made us stars
and wherever you’ve gone
and wherever we might go
it don’t seem fair…today just disappeared”
(lyrics by Pearl Jam)
missing you all the time and seeing you in all the animals we care for.
love, Pam

I am so happy that you have this website.
It’s just a place to go when you are thinking of Kaeli.

Kaeli was a wonderful kid who grew into a lovely young lady. I watched her ride horses since she very young. Surely she looks down on her organization and guides it along in its growth. She is likely smiling right now in Heaven. Go Kaeli!!!
