I saw this picture of Misty and it just brought back a flood of memories. Misty is, without a doubt, one of the coolest horses ever. When I first started riding, she was the first horse I had ever called “my favorite.” I think she knew to be more patient with me because I was a beginner. She did her best to do what I asked of her, even when my legs were not long enough to reach past the saddle flaps. She loves to canter; The words “Canter Misty” are the magic words that send her forward without protest. She is a very smart horse; she understands English. One time, my instructor just finished telling me about how they don’t jump Misty anymore. It was then my turn to canter around the ring. I went to canter Misty over a cavalletti pole and she decided to jump over it like it was a 4 foot oxer. Once again, she was proving to us that she is capable of much more than what we expected. While I miss Misty very much, I am sure she is being well taken care of =].
